Take
Exit 67 into Bryson City off U.S. 74. This is Veteran's Boulevard.
It
actually dead-ends at our property about 4 miles away, but changes
name several times. So, after you take Exit 67, you will pass
fast-food restaurants. Go through three traffic signals, passing by
Ford Motor Company and the post office. You will cross railroad
tracks and get to a stop sign - go straight through, following the
signs for Lands Creek Cabins. That is our
neighbor.
The road is now called Slope Street. It then turns to Franklin Grove
Baptist Church Road, and finally to Balltown Road. You will climb a
steep mountain than descend into a valley, where you will see a lot
of summer cabins. Pass by the office (see left)- do not turn right
there - follow the creek past the two mailboxes. You will go over 3
speed bumps in all (the last one is at our gate). Here is where we
always lose first-time visitors to the valley: DO NOT turn left at
this intersection (pictured at right) stay straight and cross over
the creek and the road will take you to our gate, which
is beside a huge barn-like structure
(see below). Look for the beehives on the hill.

have a horse,
so please be sure to keep the gate shut
behind
you, and we have 5 unruly dogs that must be put up before you get
